In 1983, a group from the Howard Park Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Rev. Daniel Ippolito started holding services at the Cavalieri Banquet Hall in the City of Brampton. The directors of this group consisted of Frank Ettore, Gaspere DiBartolo, Giuseppe Sciortino, and Nicola Calabretta. Later on, the group moved to a school for a time which led them to rent the Church of God where they were holding services.
In 1990, they finally purchased a property in Brampton located on 8500 Torbram Rd Unit 58; it was called Centro Studi Missionari which later became known as Torbram Pentecostal Church. The congregation then invited and elected Vito Mauceri as Pastor. Under the leadership of Pastor Mauceri the congregation applied and received affiliation with the Italian Pentecostal Church of Canada (now known as the Canadian Assemblies of God). Pastor Mauceri continued to pastor the church until 1993.
In the Spring of 1993 Vince DiMeglio began to pastor the church. During this time souls were saved and added to the kingdom during his time of ministry which continued until February 1999. The church then extended an invitation to Rev. John Chininea and his wife Lydia to begin shepherding the congregation. Pastor John served as pastor from 1999 to the present date.
In September 2021 there was a merger with another group and on May 2022 it was officially incorporated under the name Living Hope Church (Vaughan). The Ministry continues to grow. Together as a church we continue to fulfill the purposes of God in our lives and in our church.
